In the closed position, the "tail" of its full-flat-ground blade extends from the pivot-pin end of the handle, allowing you to open the knife one-handed like a classic straight razor. Once open, twin ball bearing detents within the handle’s frame index the blade's sides to hold it in place. Together, this Ball Joint Non-Locking Mechanism, hand pressure on the blade’s tail, and generous finger choils provide an extremely safe and secure grip.
