SP270TIP: C270TIP NAND
Spyderco
From the mind of Paul Alexander, a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and lifelong knife enthusiast, the NAND is a unique new addition to Spyderco's SLIPIT family of non-locking folding knives. In the closed position, the "tail" of its full-flat-ground blade extends from the pivot-pin end of the handle, allowing you to open the knife one-handed like a classic straight razor. Once open, twin ball bearing detents within the handle’s frame index the blade's sides to hold it in place. Together, this Ball Joint Non-Locking Mechanism, hand pressure on the blade’s tail, and generous finger choils provide an extremely safe and secure grip. The NAND's full-flat-ground blade is crafted from M398 stainless steel and features Spyderco's fully functional Trademark Round Hole. Its handle scales are precision machined from solid titanium and include a reversible deep-pocket wire clip, completing the knife’s fully ambidextrous design with a choice of left or right-side, tip-up carry.

Spyderco named this knife after its principal job function, to Assist. The Assist was designed for emergency/fire/rescue professionals (and for the well-equipped civilian) who rely on their knives to function flawlessly under pressure. Even with twenty-five years experience in making rescue knives, Spyderco is still offering new high-tech features and the Assist model showcases the latest and greatest in this knife genre.
The VG-10 patented blunt-tipped blade is a toothy eighty-percent SpyderEdged for aggressively cutting seatbelts and fibrous material. The last inch of the tip we've left PlainEdge for detailed cutting (think sharpening pencils). Perched above the Round Hole, a Cobra Hood™ positions the thumb directly over the hole for quick blade deployment, then doubles as a leveraging platform for the thumb. The wavy pattern cut from the top of the blade (created by a fireman from Sweden) and along the inside of the handle let you place a piece of rope (between the half-open blade and handle) and scissor the blade shut- especially convenient for cutting rope in-and-around flesh without having to fully open/expose the knife's blade. The FRN handle is a molded wonder of Bi-Directional Texture™ contours and bulges that ergonomically wrap around your palm. In the closed position, squeeze the blade deeper into the handle and a retractable carbide tip protrudes out from the base for breaking glass. Outlined in safety orange on the handle's spine is a shrill and attention-pitched survival whistle. Carries left/right handed, tip-up by means of a tension wire clip.

The Assist Salt combines the multi-functional versatility of the Assist model with the ultra-corrosion-resistant qualities of H-2 steel to set a new standard in rescue tools. The defining feature of the Assist Salt is its H-2 steel blade and lock bar. This unique material uses nitrogen instead of carbon to create a steel that is tough, holds an impressive edge, and is practically immune to corrosion. The blade’s Trademark Round Hole™ ensures swift, positive, one-handed opening, even while wearing heavy gloves. Its blunt tip safely slides under seat belts, clothing, and other materials and will not puncture flotation gear, while its SpyderEdge provides extreme cutting performance that easily powers through even the toughest materials.
The Assist Salt’s bright yellow handle is injection molded from tough fiberglass-reinforced nylon and has both a Bi-Directional Texture™ pattern and finger grooves to guarantee a secure grip. The finger grooves also provide a solid purchase that enables the blade to “scissor cut” rope much like a cigar cutter. Squeeze the Assist Salt’s closed blade and a retractable carbide glass breaker extends from the butt end of the handle to safely and efficiently break windows. A built-in survival whistle, sturdy back lock mechanism, and a reversible wire pocket clip round out the knife’s features and ensure convenient carry and completely ambidextrous operation.

If you move in custom knife industry circles and/or attend knife shows you will have heard of Frank Centofante. In addition to being a celebrated and longtime custom knifemaker Frank is a past President of the Knifemaker's Guild, a strong voice in the cutlery world and a revered and respected craftsman. Collaborating on knife designs with him is something Spyderco has been fortunate enough to do several times. Our latest offering is the Centofante 3 gentleman's folder.
The Centofante 3 has a thin-profiled, lightweight FRN handle. Two channels are furrowed out of the handle for better grip and a Palladium silver Spyderco bug is inlayed into its surface. For added security and convenience the back-lock is positioned midway on the spine and David Boye Dent is cut from the locking lever. The VG-10 blade has both a hollow-grind and swedge-grind with non-sharpened spine serrations (jimping) to hold the thumb steady when cutting. A black steel pocket clip positions for tip-up/down, right-hand carry.

Thin is in. We've made our long-favored Cricket model even thinner by integrating the handle and lock. Custom knifemaker Chris Reeve invented the idea of making a linerlock's liner out of backside scale of the handle. In doing this, thickness and bulk are shaved off the handle for an ultra-thin folder that locks up confidently with fewer moving lock parts.
We've incorporated this design into a rounded handle with a reverse "S" shaped blade. The distinctive blade shape curves into a keen precision tip for intricate/detailed cutting. Made of VG-10 stainless steel, the blade is hollow-ground and when folded closed creates a rounded package that rides nearly invisibly in the pocket. The pocket clip carries right-handed tip-down but also attaches to a tie or makes a fashionable money clip. Create your own one of a kind Cricket with engraving, corporate logos or a personal message.

One of the tradeoffs of compact knives is that they are somewhat more challenging to deploy one handed. The Dragonfly 2 Emerson Opener solves that problem by enhancing the popular Dragonfly 2 Lightweight with an Emerson Opener -- an integral hook that snags the top of the pocket to automatically open the blade as the knife is drawn.
Sporting a distinctive gray FRN handle with non-slip Bi-Directional Texturing™, this high-speed version of the Dragonfly 2 proudly includes all the other defining features of this popular model.

The Dragonfly 2 is one of the most size-efficient folding knives ever created, especially when expressed with a straight-edged Wharncliffe-style blade. When that blade is crafted from tough, wear-resistant K390 tool steel, the result is a compact, powerhouse cutting tool that will take and hold an exceptional edge.
Like the standard Dragonfly 2, this knife also features a user-friendly back lock, and a reversible deep-pocket wire clip, but its linerless FRN handle is molded in the signature blue color of Spyderco’s K390 family of knives.

The Dragonfly has been a mainstay of the Spyderco product line for decades and still sets the standard when it comes to packing serious cutting performance into the smallest possible package. The latest evolution of this remarkable design combines all the proven qualities of the lightweight Dragonfly 2 with a vibrant pink FRN handle and a blade crafted from American-made CPM S30V stainless steel.
For those who really want to make a bold statement with their carry knife, this version of the Dragonfly 2 adds a rich, black Titanium Carbonitride (TiCN) coating to its full-flat-ground blade. To accentuate the contrasting color theme, the lock bar, pocket clip, and all other handle hardware also have black coatings.

Zome (pronounced "zoh-may") is a classical Japanese method of dyeing textiles that is closely related to many aspects of that country’s culture and history. Inspired by this rich artistic heritage, Spyderco's Zome family of knives includes unique hand-dyed variations of popular lightweight models with injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handles. The handles of these knives are first molded in a light base color, and then individually hand dyed by expert Japanese artisans using a technique reminiscent of traditional hiki-zome (brush dyeing). In this painstaking method, various colors of dye are hand brushed onto the handle to create distinctive, one-of-a-kind patterns that permeate the FRN material.
The Dragonfly 2 Zome combines a brilliant pattern of green shades with all the other defining features of this best-selling model, including a full-flat-ground VG-10 stainless steel blade, a sturdy back lock mechanism, and a reversible deep-pocket wire pocket clip that supports left or right-side tip-up carry. An amazing fusion of traditional artistry and modern factory production, the Dragonfly 2 Lightweight Zome is a practical everyday cutting tool with one-of-a-kind character.

The Spyderco Endura 4 combines proven mid-size performance with refined engineering. Its signature Spyderedge serrated blade delivers exceptional cutting power across varied materials, while the stainless steel handle resists corrosion and maintains a secure grip in demanding conditions. The iconic round hole opener enables one-handed deployment with precision. Built on decades of Spyderco's design philosophy, this folder balances edge retention, durability, and practical carry for professionals and enthusiasts who demand reliability in the field.
In the 1980’s, the original Spyderco Endura blazed a trail as one of the first lightweight clip-carry folding knives. Now in its fourth generation, it has also inspired a broad range of variations to meet virtually every user’s needs and preferences.
All Endura 4 Lightweights are distinguished by their skeletonized stainless steel liners and injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handles. The flagship version of the design includes a stout saber-ground VG-10 stainless steel blade with a choice of PlainEdge™, CombinationEdge™, or SpyderEdge™ configurations. Its blade is supported by a sturdy back lock mechanism that locks it securely open when in use yet allows easy ambidextrous lock release. A Bi-Directional Texturing™ pattern on the black handle ensures a secure, non-slip grip and a four-position hourglass pocket clip supports left or right-side tip-up or tip-down carry. Lightweight, extremely capable, and completely ambidextrous, the Endura 4 Lightweight is still the standard by which all others are judged.
Spyderco’s Endura 4 Lightweight has achieved near-legendary status in the world of everyday-carry cutting tools. The latest variation of this iconic model furthers its enviable reputation by combining all the best-in-class qualities of the standard version with the extreme cutting power and versatility of a Wharncliffe blade.

Available in either a PlainEdge™ or fully serrated SpyderEdge™ format, the VG-10 stainless steel blade features a full-flat grind for low-friction edge geometry that further accentuates the advantages of its Wharncliffe design.
A fully accessible Trademark Round Hole™ proudly announces its Spyderco lineage and provides swift, ambidextrous, one-handed opening. The high-performance blade is backed by a lightweight, ergonomic handle that includes a sturdy back lock mechanism, skeletonized stainless steel liners, injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon scales, a high-traction Bi-Directional Texture™ pattern, and a four-position pocket clip.
