In 2002, the Ontario Knife Company entered into an exclusive collaboration with Randall's Adventure and Training Team (RAT). Randall's Adventure and Training (RAT) is a professional survival training, expedition guiding, and outdoor gear research team based in Alabama, with operations in Latin America. RAT is a legal U.S. representative of the Peruvian Air Force school of jungle survival.
The RAT team, formed by Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin, is considered a leading authority in the research, testing, and design of remote adventure and survival gear.
