All IOXIO® sharpening rods, the Duo is made of aluminum oxide ceramic. It combines the hardness of the whetstone with the shape of the traditional sharpening steel. The ceramic knife sharpener achieves a material abrasion on the blade, sharpening it and reshaping it on the cutting edge. IOXIO® ceramic sharpening rods are not coated. They consist of a full ceramic sharpening rod and wear out almost not during sharpening. Thanks to the ergonomic handle, the rod fits very well in the hand and has a practical eyelet for hanging. A metal toggle prevents unintentional rolling away and protects the hand during sharpening.
